Austin, TX
Hi, I'm Shaina!
I'm a relationship and intimacy-focused therapist in Austin, Texas.
The relationship you have with yourself shapes everything else, including how you love, fight, cope, and ask for what you need. When you're stuck in self-criticism, people-pleasing, burnout, or constant tension, it gets harder to feel grounded in your choices and connected in your relationships. I work with individuals and couples who are tired of repeating the same patterns and want something more steady, honest, and workable.
In sessions, we slow things down enough to understand what's driving the cycle, not just react to it. As you strengthen the way you relate to yourself, things start to shift in real, everyday ways. You may notice more space between a trigger and your reaction, more clarity about what you want, and less guilt when you set limits. Over time, you can become someone who trusts their own feelings and decisions, and who can stay connected to yourself even in conflict, stress, or uncertainty. Together, we'll make sense of what's happening and create change that actually sticks.
What I Do
Ways We Can Work Together
There's no one-size-fits-all in therapy. Here are a few of the ways I can support you.
Individual Therapy
The relationship you have with yourself is the one you live in every day. When that relationship is steadier and kinder, everything else tends to follow, including how you show up in love, conflict, and intimacy.
Couples Therapy
Relationships can be grounding and life-giving, and they can also be painful and confusing. Therapy can help you understand the patterns that keep you stuck and build a partnership that feels more connected, respectful, and secure.
Sex Therapy
Sexuality is part of being human, but many of us were taught to treat it with silence, shame, or performance pressure. Sex therapy offers a direct, nonjudgmental space to explore desire, boundaries, pleasure, communication, and whatever you want to understand or change.
About Me
Real connection, real change
Good therapy isn't about being told what to do or having someone nod along while you talk. It's about being in a room with someone who actually understands what you're saying and helps you see what's getting in the way.
My style is warm and down-to-earth. I use approaches that actually work (backed by research), but I'll never make you feel like a case study. You're a whole person, and that's how I'll treat you.
Curious but not sure yet? That's okay.
Starting therapy is a big decision. I offer a free 15-minute phone call so you can ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and see if it feels right.
